While most of us are still mourning the news of Liu Xiang having to pull out of his Olympic event, a friend sent me a link to this story.
It's nice to see a feature piece on ESPN about an Asian American guy who breaks the stereotype that Asian guys are only at Ivy Leagues to collect degrees. Not only is this guy crazy smart... he was also the star of Yale's track & field team, and starting his own business. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=3532784 Quote:

Thanks for sharing that.
I think it's great that it helps to break the perception that all Asian guys who go to ivy League schools are a bunch of emasculated nerds with no social lives or athletic skills. You have to understand that the white media is trying to portray Asian guys as emasculated nerds who can't get laid b/c the white man sees Asian guys as a threat to them. imagine all the white women drooling over an Ivy League educated Asian guy with supermodel looks (such as Yul Kwon). Don't you think the white man will feel threatened by a smart, Ivy League educated, but physically fit and good looking Asian guy. White women will be all over him. Conversely, the white media tries to portay us Blacks as uneducated thugs or gangsters. But this story you presented reminds me of a friend of mine who went to Stanford. He was very smart but also a talented football player (he briefly walked on to Stanford's football team). He went on to medical school at UCSF. He was also a model on the side. This guy was a combination of intelligence, good looks, and athleticism. But the white media can't portray a black athlete as intelligent b/c he is also a threat to the white man. |

No one knows who this guy is, and do you know the possibility of him being well known?? also white women are a fetish for asian males who can't get a asian girl. |

I'm sorry, I can't understand a bit of what you wrote. It's like one giant, incomprehensible run-on sentence.
