Didn't see this mentioned anywhere on the site-

Does anyone plan on attending the Museum of Chinese in America's Sichuan Earthquake Charity Event on July 12th?

I may have to work the event, and I wondering if any of the 44's would be around.

Looks cool. If there are any 44s in NY, you guys should definitely meet up there.

If anything, they'd get to see my mother go ga-ga over John Liu, which will be creepy and entertaining

If you guys do meet up, let's hope everyone plays nice and be friendly. I don't know about most of you, I am not much different in real life than online. However, I have heard many people who are.

According to AngryAsianMan, there's also a charity event going on next weekend in LA being run by Mercy Corps. It's a Rock Band competition / party:

You pay $30 to enter your Rock Band of 3 peeps. Sounds pretty cool.
