He took down Jr. lightweight champion David Diaz in easy and dominating fashion to win his 4th title.

The guy is not well known in the USA yet but he is like a god in the Philippines.

His god-like status in Philipines notwithstanding, he's still largely popular in the US, at least in the boxing scene. But yeah, his destruction of David Diaz is pretty sensational. I wonder if that means his brother, Juan Diaz, would feel obliged to avenge his brother's loss?

Awesome. I've been following this guy's career, and I think he's a straight shooter with a good base of support. It looks like he's going to keep moving forward.

I remember reading the Univision sports forum last year, and the guys were calling him something like the "Mexican killer", and saying that "something must be done", because Pacquiao has won against all their fighters so far. There was a lot of respect for him, though.

I'm curious to see if he will continue to move up weight classes. IMO I don't think he will lose much of his speed either.

I believe his promoter said he will move up to 140 lbs next year and fight Ricky Hatten. He probably will defend his 135 lb title first. Either way, the man had an amazing career so far and he has been fighting since he was 16.
