This kid got like millions of views on YOUTUBE. Apparently he and Baron Davis started The Stare contest and he challenged Jessica Alba. She actually responded.

Perhaps this is the new way to get into the media. Kev is becoming quite an Internet celebrity.

Pretty hilarious! Jessica Alba owned him.

I guess the internet really can connect us "regular people" to celebs... even if it's in a way as bizarre as a staring contest.

Steve Nash has a scary stare, too.

Damn, I really want a computer camera now so I could personally issue a challenge to Ms. Alba.

It's really pretty amazing that this Kev Jumba guy got so big so fast. He really took advantage of a new type of media: the personal YouTube video blog. Props.

what's awesome about Jessica Alba is that she's one of the hottest girls in Hollywood AND she manages to consistently get complimented instead of dissed by most celebrity gossip magazines.

but i remember watching The Eye remake and thinking that she had gotten too skinny.

hurh? you're kidding, right? people are always ragging on her. i think her nickname is les miseralba or something.

internet fame is useless, it doesn't translate to money, which is the true report card of celebrity.

really? maybe it's just US Weekly that doesn't diss her then. that's what the girlfriend reads.

tell that to people like Michelle Malkin and Jessica Cutler - but granted, they're not exactly millionaires. hell, singers like 許哲珮 got their start by uploading their songs to the internet. to be fair though, these are people who were able to make the jump to other media formats after their internet fame.

actually, YouTube has this "partnership program" that gives you a share of the ad revenue that are generated by the videos you upload. probably not a lot of money though or people like KevJumba and Magibon would be living like pimps by now.

Jessica Alba only participated because her husband, Cash Warren, started up ibeatyou.com.

KevJumba in one of his video blogs responded to racist comments left in a jokingly manner. But of course he also tried to appear as the "cool" Asian by saying he's not offended by racist comments and find some of them quite funny. At least he acknowledged that some people may take offense to them.

Alba is the one who denies being Hispanic, and says after three generations, she's finally "cut loose".

I use to really like Jessica Alba before I found out she was unavailable. Now I can't stand her.
