Believe it or not but their was a point in my life that I wanted to be a minister. Now that has changed I do not consider myself a Christian. I gave up the idea of Jesus and what not.

Anyways, I want to know what your faiths are and what you believe in.

Now I don't want this to turn out arguing saying I am right and your wrong nonsense but something where I can learn and connect with.

What makes us believe in what we believe and why our convictions are so strong.

Is Jesus the way...for many of us he is..but are you right..and what is Truth behind things we can not see..

I know this isn't what you're asking for but from what I understand, apparently if you're catholic you can get a sweet ride into heaven no matter what so long as you believe jesus is the son of God.

i wasn't officially catholic or anything, but i went to catholic schools my whole life so i did believe in that stuff early on.

I believed in it cause people told me and it was the only way i saw to be part of the group in some small way. I thought god would punish me for being bad since he was everywhere and could see me even when i was having a bath.

If you don't believe in Jesus, you'll be going to the same place as every other Asian "went" before Asia was infiltrated by white people who forced Christianity upon everyone.

Frankly, I think that's good company.

each person goes whereever each person's religion says they go. one religion doesn't emcompass everyone's eternal existence.

I grow up as a christan. but I think that no matter what you belive. wether it that there is jesus, god, and the holy ghost or just belive in just god or even budda you still have a chance to get to a better place (heaven) I think that there is a higher power because if the earth made us or how ever sicentist say it happen we still wouldnt have a soul, emotion or anything else of that nature. but sometimes i think maybe his name isnt god or budda or what ever else. have you ever notice that mostly all religions want you to live just about the same way. you know be kind and dont cheat people things like that its just that you praise someone of a different name? so i just think that the higher power is happy as long as we live life right. and give praise to him. i was taught that ONLY christans was sucssesful in the world but as you see there is other people of different religions that is also very sucessful as long as they lived there life as there bible or holy book say. thats just my opinion:rolleyes:

Really? Am I going to Valhalla? Is Mitt Romney going to wind up with his own solar system to reign over as a god? What about WICCANs and Satanists? There is no afterlife.
Ms.Anonymnous, have you never considered prosperous atheists?

Exactly my point! If you don't believe there is an afterlife, there isn't/won't be for you. If you believe life ends with death, then it does. It's not a complicated system of belief. I think people just like to argue about.

I think we'll all end up in the 44s hell, where we'll all be forced to hash the same arguments over and over again. Then when we think it's all finally over and concluded, a random white kid will come online and try and teach us his way, and we're back at square one, doomed to repeat the same process all over.

Wouldn't that be cool?

...which only begs the question....

has this already happened?

once? twice? three times a lady?

...apparently, we're in the process right now.

it must be the whole, "if i can imagine it happening, then it probably already has," type ordeal.

Lopan I think I am in one right now with NUNYABIZ talking about racism on "why don't Asian men date black women"..sometimes I ask myself if I should just keep my thoughts to myself..siigghhhh I am getting gray hairs from this forum.

As far as hell, here is my question, how do spirits feel pain...And if their is a God why did he create free will knowing shit will go down....

I hate it when people say I am going to hell, because if I am I know that these people who are condemning me is going to be there with me and that would truly be Hell..siigghhh

There's something about dude strippers that makes me feel really really sad. Like something is wrong with the world if women are supposed to excited if a guy dressed up like a fireman starts taking off his clothes.

If these people are "your friends" bro, you need to find new ones, eh?

And though it's not quite fashionable to say so, I do believe that in "the end", everyone is going to be held accountable for what they do... good or evil.

I think not having a belief that someday there will be justice for everything that's wrong with this world would really suck all hope out of life. Don't you think?

Haha...how is a guy supposed to fight fires if he's not wearing his protective gear? If anything, I'd think that would be less sexy. If women like men in uniform, wouldn't they like men who are, um, in uniform?

nskripchun I believe your right, we are all going to be held accountable for what we do. As far as the firends thing do you really think I would hang around people who will tell me I am going to hell? God I hope not.

Compassion is the other name of God. Either you believe in Jesus or not, he is always with you. God love all his children equally, does not matter you believe in him or not. Jesus or God is not any human being. He is an existence.
I believe that we make our heaven or hell with our karmas or actions. So do not have any fear of God in mind, just love him. :D

God is an imaginary dream created by men so that they can entertain themselves and exploit others. So the priest says that there is Father, holiest of holy, all powerful one who is taking care of this world and will take care of you too, provided you keep the priest happy. Man finds solace in this system, so imaginary God has been given real homes - temples, gurdwaras, synagogues, mosques and so on. God is a fiction, a fairy tale. Every religion has its own and every religion says ours is the best. So there are a lot of Gods and Gods and a lot of God vendors, retailers who sell you this idea. Don’t be fooled!
