here's me with my new glasses that i just got an hour and a half ago. i haven't worn glasses in, like, 11 years and i must say...i have definitely forgotten what it's like. i feel like i'm walking around in wonka's chocolate factory (the tim burton wonka, not the gene wilder one).
oh snap, i KNOW you're not wearing an ohio state jacket...i KNOW that can't be ohio state...cuz if it is...it's on.

No offense to you, but OSU does not deserve to be in the championship game. They have the name and thanks to the good old boys of the BCS, they are there. WVU vs. OU will be a much better game.
Oh yeah, I think Michigan gonna get totally destroyed against Florida. The game will not be that close. OSU might have a chance against LSU only because LSU is pretty overrated too.

Every team has tried to shut down Pat White. Isn't it interesting WVU lost both games because he was hurt. Pat White is awesome.
I agree with you on FLA. They are the most hyped team. Their golden white boy Tim Tebow is being hyped by the media as the next coming. However, he won't be that great of a PRO QB. Thanks to FLA and their questionable recruiting tactics, they are always there with talent.
With NCAA D 1A only having 5 black head coaches out of 117, I wish top black athletes would say FU to those schools that don't give minority coaches a chance and go to choose schools that have minority head coaches. Maybe Norm Chow could get the UCLA job and be the first Asian American football coach, but I am not holding my breath. If he can't get a job at Stanford and at UCLA, I think it will be tough to get a job ever. 49ers need to find their coach too and maybe Norm might have a slight chance.

for a team hacing 3 losses, UF was ranked fairly high...I wonder if being in the SEC contributed it.

i love when people say we don't belong or deserve to be in the game. strength of schedule this, strength of schedule that...blah blah, there isn't one team in the top 10 that didn't lose to a team they shouldn't have. wvu? please. they had the championship game on their plate, no, on their fork, on its way to their mouth.....oops! lost to pitt. can osu help it that they won the games they needed (except for illinois) and every other team lost crucial games? sure, maybe the system sucks (which is feel is just another excuse) but thems the rules...

c'mon man. you really think kids in high school are thinking about where to go to school based on the color of the coach?
football players in high school are thinking about three things.
1.) the girls at the school
2.) the reputation of the program
3.) how this school will help their chances in the draft

Read the article below on the state of black coaches in the NCAA:
The Alternative: A bad sign for coaching
Jay Mohr
FOXSports.com, Updated 5 days ago
The NCAA desperately needs to hire black coaches. Enough is enough already. For years, people have been arguing vehemently over smoke-screen issues in college football like BCS rankings and the need for a playoff system.
Jay Mohr loves Al Davis, Jessica Simpson, Travis Henry and more. Plus, David Beckham returns for a moment.
As loudly as we have all complained over the cosmetic problems, isn't it time we start to holler about the complexion problem? As of this writing, there are five black head coaches in Division I football.
Five.
Five black head coaches out of ONE-HUNDRED AND NINETEEN SCHOOLS.
That, my friends, is good, old-fashioned racism. There is no other explanation for it. Is anyone going to try to argue that there are only five black men in America qualified to run a football team? Good Lord, I hope not. I would like to believe that as a society we have come a lot farther in race relations than that.
One would think that after spending the majority of their days pining for the best black athletes in the land to resurrect and/or sustain their football teams, the average athletic director would find it in his heart to hire a black man to guide them.
They don't.
The only five black head coaches in major-college football are Sylvester Croom (Mississippi State), Tyrone Willingham (Washington), Ron Prince (Kansas State), Randy Shannon (Miami) and Turner Gill (Buffalo).
Karl Dorrell was fired from UCLA this week, and that was a good news/bad news proposition at best. The good news was that Dorrell was not fired because he was black, but rather he was fired because he wasn't very good. The bad news is that too many people will see the Dorrell firing as an example of a black coach failing.
This is pitiful. Karl Dorrell was hired in large part to clean up the off-the-field messes that Bob Toledo's Bruins spread all over Westwood for almost a decade. Dorrell is a former Bruin himself and was counted on to bring class and respectability back to the UCLA football program. He did just that. The only thing he couldn't do was put a basketball school emphatically on the football map.
Tyrone Willingham was called on to do the same thing at Notre Dame. He cleaned up the Irish image with a no-nonsense approach and an eye for detail. He was jettisoned soon after the great, wise white men in charge of football in South Bend wanted someone else.
We all know the amazing improvement Mr. Weis has brought to the Irish. He has helped them become the laughingstock of Division I football as well as an albatross around NBC's neck. Nothing like being contractually obliged to showcase a three-win team every Saturday. Way to go, guys.
When Croom was hired by Mississippi State in 2004, he became the first black head coach in the history of the Southeastern Conference. Go look at the calendar, folks. We were all the way up to 2004 before the SEC found a way to throw a brother a bone. Yuck.
An NCAA study released a year ago determined that 46.1 percent of Division 1-A players in 2005 were black. Yet, just 4.2 percent of the coaches are black. That isn't a black eye for the sport, it's a bodybag.
Fortunately, I have found a solution for this blatant racism. It will require some party loyalty and a little bit of sacrifice, but it will work. In fact, I will be so bold as to say that if my plan is properly implemented, we may be able to get the black coaching representation all the way up to 10 percent in one year.
Listen up. This is for all black, high school football players. The phenoms. The players that get asked in the middle of their junior year, "Where do you plan on going to college when you graduate?"
Look the reporter squarely in the eye and say these seven words. "Washington, Mississippi State, Kansas State, Buffalo, Miami."
Say the names of these five schools and only these five schools. When asked why you chose those programs, just say, "I feel more comfortable playing for a black head coach."
If only a third of the top recruiting class in the country did this, I am fairly certain athletic directors across the country would start racking up big phone bills trying to track down the best black coach available.
To all of them I say best of lucky,
jay mohr

all of us o state fans will admit we had a weak schedule this year, but that doesn't change the fact that we did take care of our schedule (except for illinois), and that's what matters. sure, other teams had tougher schedules and lost to tougher teams, but if THEY were as good as they should've been, they wouldn't have lost to teams they were favored over. it was a crazy year, and at the end, o state took care of business.

SEC is, no doubt, a great conference, but LSU isn't really its greatest team. I think the bucks have a legitimate chance at beating the tigers, and assuming they do, i can't wait wait wait to hear what all the SEC supporters say.

Personally, I like to see Hawaii beat the crap out of UGA in the Sugar Bowl.
I am going to the Tire Bowl.
BTW, I don't even think Ohio State is the best team team in its own state. That honor belongs to the Cincy Bearcats. I think this year's Cincy Bearcat will beat this year's Ohio State.
Michigan just stole WVU's coach, so we will see how future OSU/Michigan games will be like.
College football polls blow. Those homer coaches only vote for their own conference. You see the bias in both B10 and SEC votes. Some of the votes are so ridiculous it is not even funny.
I watched a ton of college football this year. Teams like WVU and USC would run all over Ohio State.

Synthetic - you must missed last year's "championship" game. If it was up to those media morons, they would have picked Ohio State vs. Michigan for the championship. Remember all the hype those 2 got? What happened to Michigan and OSU in their bowl games? Do you want me to bring up the scores again? B10 is a joke this year but those B10 coaches keep voting for B10 schools in polls. I believe B10 is also the conference that lost to multiple D-1AA schools. Minn even lost to a D2 school I believe. For a BCS conference, that's pathetic.
Tell me why OSU deserves to be in the championship game.

i've already explained my position to multiple people. you're given a schedule, you conquer that schedule, you're eligible to get into that championship game. i don't care what conference you're in....if SEC and PAC10 teams are so good, then why do they still lose games they should be winning? just because you're in a tougher conference with a tougher schedule doesn't mean your team still can't slip up. if they were really THAT good, they'd have no problem getting to the championship game and we wouldn't even be having this argument.
everyone bases their opinions on last year and what they expect to happen this year. what i'm waiting for is what everyone is going to say when OSU beats LSU.
