His name is Devin Setoguchi. First-round draft pick of the San Jose Sharks for whom he has 8 points in 10 games this year.

He gets the benefit of playing on the same line as Thorton, so his stats might be a bit inflated. Nevertheless, if he's able to stay on San Jose's top line, he'll definitely get consideration for ROY.

Awesome. I guess I am not much a hockey fan and didn't even know there is an Asian guy on the hometown team.

Also, there is an all star soccer player called Brian Ching who plays for Houston's championship game in the MLS. I think he is hapa but he is definitely one if not their best player on the team.

I just did some math and Devin is scoring points at twice the league average per-game rate. If he keeps up his current pace he would score about 50 goals. Of course he won't likely score that many but if he did he'd win rookie of the year in a walk.

Of course maybe not... Ranger fans remember Lundqvist finishing second in Vezina balloting to only MARTIN BRODEUR but not even placing in rookie of the year.
