Got to give ESPN some credit. Those guys have way more Asian men on that channel than any other channel.

1) Tons of Asian men in professional poker. I watch these guys all the time. Guys like Johnny Chan, Scotty Nguyen, Kevin Tran and many others. They are at least being shown on TV as regular guys with personalities.

2) Tons of Asian baseball players. Some of the best in the league. Ichiro Suzuki, Chien Ming Wang, Dice-K, Kirk Suzuki, Ojiyama, Hideki Matsui and many many others.

3) Yao Ming and now Yi Jianlian. There will be 3 other huge Chinese kids playing in the NCAA D-1 basketball this coming year and more are coming.

4) EPSN Fantasy Football commercial featuring Brian the Asian American guy who speaks English. That was pretty cool. I love playing fantasy football even though it has been a tough season after a tough draft.

These guys alone are redefining Asian American men. Thank god for sports. There is nothing HOLLYWOOD can do to screw this up.

ESPN and all the sports league are realizing China is a huge market and they don't want to miss the boat.

This is why I watch sports 24x7. I wish more women would understand that but I will watch sports over some dumbass TV shows full of white men.

ESPN doesn't deserve any credit, unless they get an Asian male sports anchor, but point well taken.

Ever heard of Michael Kim? He might not in prime time but he is on everyday during the day. He is a good start. For one thing, he speaks perfect English :)

We could use a few more. Remember a few years ago they had a contest for the next sports broadcaster? Asian guy made the final 2 but lost to this kid Michael who is doing ESPNU right now. I wish Aaron (Asian guy) would have won cause he was awesome.

Isn't it just because they are damn good at what they do?

Of course it is. However, at least ESPN sees the market and is trying to market to Asians. Even in their fantasy football commercials, there usually is a token Asian guy. I guess what I am saying is better than being completely ignored or being stereotyped negatively like Hollywood.

Like you said, those guys kick ass and they have no choice showing these guys on TV. Chien-Ming Wang is NY Yankee's Game 1 starter in the post season. This means he is their ace and he is their best pitcher even with Roger Clemens, Mike Mussina and Andy Pettite on the staff. Dice-K has been wearing down a little due to long season but he is their #2 starter after Josh Beckett.
