I posted a topic on another board I frequent. It's 99% black women and the topic of finding asian men attractive one member posted this

The Hollywood stereotypes about Asian men are ridiculous and just as pervasive as the Black stereotypes unfortunately. They never really get to play sexy roles. I guess they're afraid that if they put too many hot Asian guys on TV maybe the Asian women will throw out their American husbands.

Small thing yes. But you gotta start somewhere making others aware of your cause.

What East Asian male struggle? My East Asian mates have no difficulty getting "lucky". Maybe it`s just you.

Yawn. Seriously, why do you post here if all you're interested in doing is belittling other members and writing about your secret fetish for racist women?

With that logic, that means that since 5 of my closest black friends haven't faced any racism in life, that means racism against blacks doesn't exist, no?

She is a black woman. You are retarded if you think there isn't a bias against Asian males in the USA. I have dated a lot and even so I would be blind if I don't see bias Asian male images on TV over and over. Just because you got a few friends that don't have a problem, it does not mean it does not exist. I got plenty of East Asian friends who have no problem dating either, but denying Hollywood has an agenda against Asian males just shows ignorance.

Just typical khan bullshit. Next he'll come back with how if you all weren't mysoginistic AF bashers and oppressors you wouldn't be having the problems that you are, blah blah blah. Just ignore the YT apologist.

I know she`s a black woman. I`m an Asian man and unlike East Asian men, we are completely invisible on Yank TV. I`m well aware of the rubbish Hollywood produces, so there`s no need to lecture me about it. However, I`m not going to let that stop me from living life to the maximum. The same goes for my Black women mates who have very, very active social lives.

Um, East Asian males? I missed you on that one. Maybe I should make myself clearer. The female posted on a beauty site I visit. She (nor I) mentioned east asian males the post was about asian males in general and I just wanted to share her opinion. I thought it was interesting to note that someone who doesn't really have a stake in the situation (she's black dates black men mostly) would post an insightful straight to the point opinion.
I think when a person or group of people are fighting for a cause it's not just important for them to spread the word among their own people but to get the word out to others. And since this board is full of black women we mainly talk about the struggles we face. It was refreshing to see some of the women recognize what was going on. I also feel the same way about the civil rights movement. I never downplay the role of whites in winning rights for everyone. It wasn't just blacks marching. We may have gotten the worst of it but it was important that we weren't just preaching to choir.
