Do most of you consider satirical comedy like this to be a positive or negative influence on AA racial issues?

I agree with this statment that the one member wrote.
Because, if it was a Black guy then would they say
HEY What is up my brother?

Or a Jewish guy.
I have no clue what they would say.

( the statement below is from a member from that site.)

This commerical is an example of the white dominated American perception of Asian men. It's funny, but ignorant and suggests this kind of blatent racism is acceptable and even unworthy of criticism, unlike an ill concieved hussied up phone with myspace on it.

That's like the movie 'Look Who's Coming to Dinner' with Sydney Poitier minus the tension and aggression. There's no getting around the fact that it can be quite awkward when a white woman brings home a colored man. You can either address it very seriously like LWCTD or as a comedy like that movie Guess Who where the situation is reversed and Ashton Kutcher is brought home to the girlfriend's house who is black.

It's just something that happens, no point in pretending that it's an unnatural occurence in an Asian American male's life.

Also, I thought it was interesting that it was a white girl bringing home an Asian guy instead of a White guy brining home an Asian girl even though that is more likely an occurence. Again, times like these I believe it becomes more of a gender issue than a racial issue. Increasingly, AA issues have become a gender issue rather than a racial issue actually.
