good health and height does have a co-relation but I think being too tall is overkill .

If you watch the entire clip they mentioned a dutch girl who may grow to be "6'8" ..shit being too tall sometimes I think is not all good.

Actually after watching that clip helps explain why I stop growing after I reach my full height of 5'8. I remeber back in High School I would skip allot of meals and sometimes just eat allot of junk instead. I did that when I was 13-17 years old. This may explain why my Dad is taller than me and so are all my male relatives. Growing up I just didn't take care of myself well enough.

Eh, 90% of your height is determined by genetics. BTW, that reporter said he was small in Holland at 6'3, but that's still 2 inches taller than the average Dutch. He visited some tall people's association in Holland so of course he's going to feel small. That's like someone standing next to a NBA team and saying he feels small. I think once people reach a certain height (like 6'6 and over), the advantages of being taller sorta negate itself (unless of course you hope to be a NBA player).

This may not be entirely correct, though America has also had an influx of shorter immigrants. Not so much Asian, but Hispanics tend to be of the short end if I'm remembering right.

I'm not sure about that broadcast as I've also seen articles detailing Scandinavians as the tallest also with an average of 6'1.'' To poke even more holes, there are surveys that rank some groups of East Africans, like the Tutsi, as one of the tallest.

By the way, I don't think the presentation said Americans are 'growing shorter' as much as our growth has become stagnant for the past 50 years.

There isn't any one country that can claim to have the tallest people. Certainly scandinavia and the netherlands are near the top, but serbians and croatians are pretty damn tall too.

Anyway, my friend was in Holland 2 months ago and he said everyone was so fricking tall. Even the women that he met he said usually he was barely eye level with them. But more often than not he's having to look up. And he's pretty tall himself at 5'11".

What's really interesting is that the Dutch were some of the shortest just over a century ago and now they are the tallest. Just 1 century and they've had this huge growth spurt. I'd like to know what's in their diet.

I could still be if I break my legs and stretch 'em.

yeah being tall is not all great. even in the u.s. most things are designed and built with someone in mind who is about 5'8". my shower, chairs, desk, tables, beds etc... everything is obviously designed for a shorter person.
its my dream someday to custom build my own house and furniture.
one of my cousins in Malaysia is 6'1". life is painful for him.
