A friend had recently told me to listen to the two [Yellow rage and Beau Sia] I figured that before I'd buy their CDs or DVDs or whatever they have I should do some research. Unfortunately I haven’t found much about them, has anyone ever heard of them. And if so, are they any good?

Thanks.

There's a feature on this site about Beau Sia and his response to Rosie O'Donnell.

Youtube videos of Beau Sia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C40EUMU3pFc) and Yellow Rage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zi2LoWPImZE) on Def Poetry Jam. A search on youtube should also bring up a ton of material.

And a note on those YouTube videos, don't read the comments. NEVER read the comments, ever. You don't need that unnecessary infuriation, I know I don't.

Kelly Tsai is a good spoken word artist too, even though she isn't solely about Asian American politics. Bao Phi's another good spoken word artist.

That pretty much goes for all youtube videos.

I'll check out those Yellow Rage videos later. I just realized that one of the members of the group has posted some stuff at antiracistparent.com.

To Be a Lost Child (http://www.antiracistparent.com/2007/03/02/to-be-a-lost-child/): It's a short introduction and then a personal poem about her upbringing. I've been recommending her piece for a while as an antidote to the belief that racemixing=antiracism. It's depressing and very powerful.
