Ok, I just don't get the freakin' "terrorist threat" part. Way to mix all your xenophobic fear together

The guy who brought that gun to that party is an idiot.

And a new stereotype is born. Perhaps guns will be the new karate, now.

I wonder if they would of responded similarly if the student was not Asian.

No, they wouldn't have. It's obviously not a good idea to bring a gun to a party, but it's not something that's unheard of. When people know about it, they tend to just steer clear of the guy with the gun. Nobody ever subdues the guy and calls the cops.

According to the media, the only man that gets to bring guns anywhere is The Man.

Anyone else = terrorist/threat. The Man = doing his Patriotic duty.

Absolutely right. A black man with a gun at a party is gangster. An Asian man with a gun at a party is a terrorist? Funny, before a few weeks ago, he would have been gangster too.

Like scowl said, the people got chicken shit scared because the guy was an Asian male, and all that hooplah that happened at Virg Tech makes non-Asian people wary of Asian people, esp us Asian males with guns.

So yeah, the stupid DPS (USC's campus police) and LAPD were called in.

I also heard from a friend who attended SC, that USC (So Cal) is not a very Asian-friendly college. The majority of the Asian students at USC are from Hong-Kong, S Korea, Japan, or Taiwan. Mainly the "rich" kids from Asia.

He also told me that a lot of white trash students at USC would play pranks on Asian students in the dormitory (i.e. place condoms on door knob, trash by door, etc.).

I guess the next logical question is if a black man with a gun is a gangster, and an asian man with a gun is a terrorist... what does that make a white man with a gun?

Hence the sheer hypocrisy of American ideology. Whitey loves to celebrate guns if it's for the NRA or the military. But gun violence is blamed on everything else from movies and video games to music and the internet.
