I'm getting addicted to this stuff. Some of it sounds really good. There's a ridiculous amount of it on Youtube.

Quiza - Hiimoriin San

This has an old school feel. Just a bunch of Mongolians hanging around outside of some hideous Soviet-style concrete apartment blocks, playing basketball, breakdancing and randomly ululating. Very catchy!

Ice Top feat Dain ba Enkh

This is my favorite. I think it's political. The video has a bunch of green-skinned rappers dancing, intercut with stock footage of the Mongolian politburo and African lions attacking wilderbeest herds.

Tatar: Gantsaaraa

This group is the most famous one in Mongolia apparently. A downbeat, sentimental song. I like the sample from The Last Emperor.

Tatar: Ajil

The guys in Tatar rob a store and steal a bunch of really crappy jewelry. Much more upbeat.

The most gratuitous use of "CENSORED" bars that I've ever seen. Several chubby dudes doing a Luke Skyywalker routine; interesting Pink Floyd sample.

I'm kinda digging Tatap's stuff, even though I don't understand a word of it.
