A simple one today. What's your car/bike/skateboard/wheelchair/etc.?

2004 Infiniti G35X and because I'm a girl, I'm gonna say it's silver. And it's duurty, duurty, dirty, so brown/grey is probably more accurate.

Right now, my dad's old, dirty pontiac.

I can't decide if I want a ground up restoration of a classic mustang (lots of $$) or something practical like a civic...

I really like the G35x. It is a great car, I know three people who drive it.

I drive an old ('98) but extremely trustworthy Audi A4 Avant. ~155,000 miles and still running strong!

I also have a 2000 Ducati 996SPS. I am probably going to get a beater bike to commute with whenever it is above freezing overnight - I don't want to deal with black ice. I'm thinking of an older Ducati Monster 900, S4, Multistrada, ST2/ST4 or a BMW F650 Dakar. I need saddle bags... I also looked at some Aprillia Caponords, but never really could get behind them for their asking price. Perhaps an Aprillia Tuono if I find one at a good price.

I dive a Mako DPV, though I toasted my spare battery a few months ago.

For non-motorized transport, I have a Cervelo Duo, a Cervelo P2 and a home-built singlespeed city bike based on an old Gary Fischer Mamba mountain bike frame. I'll not make everyone weep from boredom by getting into my rollerblades, snowboards, etc, but they are also "rides"...

I'm driving a Hyundai Sonata. It might have been a Toyota FJ cruiser but the manager at the dealership was a serious asshole. Fucking cocksucker.

A 2006 Scion xB (Toyota bB) toaster on wheels... my first new car purchase. It's awesome. It has the gas mileage of a subcompact and the cargo space of an SUV.

Most of the other people I see in xBs are over 65. I wondered about that, but the explanation is that when you get older, your biggest priority in a car is that it's easy to get into it without bending or climbing. Getting into an xB is sort of like sitting down at a dinner table.

Current ride? Looking for a Miata, preferably 1st gen. I've thought about a 2nd gen, much nicer car, but i'd be paying double. I COULD buy a new one, but buying an brand new car to race is not a very good idea...

There is absolutely no question if your choice is between a Focus or a classic Mustang, as long as it is not a 79 or later "classic". No question especially if it is a Mach 1.

If you are considering classic Mustang restorations, how about a nice Pontiac GTO?

GTO is too damn big and I don't like boxy cars...I can barely handle the fastback (actually would like to have the seat/pedals modified for easier shifting, they made those cars for men!)

I drive a 1996 toyota camry, WOOOOHOOO. Its nickname is "the family mover."

Back home: Toyota RAV4
In Japan: Daihatsu Move (Turbo)

To this day I havent found the logic of strapping a turbocharger to a 550cc engine. Im betting the turbo has half the displacement of the engine! Still, speed laws here are rigidly enforced. There arent many places Ive found in the city where Id WANT to "open it up". Nissan Skylines, Silvias, Subaru WRXs, Mitsubishi EVOs... I havent found any places here to DRIVE em!

That, and the fact that taxes on "real" cars are pretty high here. They have a different system of taxation than we do. Lets put it this way. Sometimes its cheaper to buy a new car than it is to pay the tax on the old car.

2006 Toyota Prius. Averaging about 47 miles to a gallon. Replaced my loveable 1989 Honda Accord, which was still getting 30 miles to the gallon, but was having all kinds of other problems.

Damn rich kids! j/k

If I could afford a new car I probably would buy a prius because I'm sort of a meat-eating granola, but since I drive a taxi that serves as my ride. Talk about fast a Crown Vic will quietly smoke just about anything provided it still has the pursuit-chip in it, and when you coast the damn thing will not slow down!

I have a 1980 BMW 633 in my driveway that needs help.

3rd gens suck, for now atleast. Stock suspension, even with the "sport" package is a joke compared to what they sold before. That's okay; I got something else... =D

I am driving a hybrid Lexus RX400H. It is a sweet ride even though it is everywhere in Northern CA. I like the car a lot cause it is comfortable, practical and pretty decent on gas for a SUV. It is also one of the most low emission cars on the planet so it is all good.

Anyone know about 1994-1998 and 2000 BMW 3 series or others? I need a car. Do you have to repair them a lot too? Coz I'm finding them at about 100-130k in my price range and don't want to deal with BS.

I just picked up another motorcycle, a Ducati 03 ST4s with ABS. It is an insurance "salvage" bike, but mechanically sound and structurally solid. Just need to get some hard cases and it is my new daily commuter. 50mpg here I come!

Have fun paying for parts. Those "precise" Germans did awesome things on the e36 like plastic water pumps... I hear they also rip frames.

i thought it was mostly just the e36/e30 mixed cars like the 318ti, m coupe, z3, etc that had the old style suspension with new e36 suspension in the front
