hehe cause, 1. I love HK, 2. Canto classes here get cancelled all the time due to lack of numbers.

you, too, awong? no offense, boys, but why learn canto instead of mando? i mean, you both speak it already, and if you come to hk to live, you'll just automatically improve.

grrr...if i didn't love you so much...tsk!!!

not really...I mean I've been exposed to it and hear it a lot, so I understand very little, its just never been formally taught to me since my parents cant speak to each other in cantonese since my mom's level is a lot lower than my dad's.

Why would they go to all the trouble of learning Cantonese?! *shudder* There's enough of you without having superior Asians willingly degrade themselves!!! :P

maogirl, will you record yourself speaking Cantonese and post it on your blog? Mandarin accents turn me on (example: Shu Qi).

I've heard of this magazine... I forget when exactly, but I read the blog of one of the guys who edits for 'em on occasion.

http://www.hipstomp.com/blog/

He used to write a pretty funny column on AsianAvenue during its "hey day" called "Love in a 10-Block Radius".
