Right now I am in the airport waiting for my flight back to NYC. I had a very short vacation to Korea for one week. I got meet up with SB1 , Kimtae and I just chatted with mismel on the phone. Did not have enough time to meet her.

Anyway, some stuff I notice and maybe others notice too.

1. I speak crappy Korean. Even when I try to talk Korean and tell people that I could understand Korean most Korean people end up sepaking to me in crappy english.

2. I was at a motel to check in. Some Korean guy asked me what's up with the luggage. I told him it is my clothes. He asked me if I was a "waeguk". I told him I was a kyopo. Then he started to sing some 'Oh America", Oh America", I don't know if the guy was drunk or being dick head.

3. I don't know what it is but everytime I come to Korea I am still in awe in how pretty Korean women are. Back in NYC you don't see (at least in my eyes) what you see in Korea. This may sound sexist but I think for the women along I wouldn't mind relocating to Korea.

....to be continue..

And I don't think Corean girls are necessarily prettier than Cor-Am girls.

Tho, I can see where you may get that impression since (1) there are more girls in Corea and thus, more pretty girls, (2) greater no. of girls in Corea from middle/upper middle class backgrounds who can afford the "up-keep" and (3) more pretty girls in the big cities.

Btw, what's up w/ Kimtae these days?

little mixed girl,
I don't know how Korea is like during the New Year because I never been there at that time.

Everybody is doing fine. I also met another kyopo on my trip. He is a Korean American male who is studying in a Korean language program. He has been in Korea for 1 and half year.

For the most part I kept it light. This was vacation for me and I didn't want to get into any deep discussion.

Over all it feels the same as 2004 the last time I visited. I stayed in different motels and yes some of them were love motels. You find allot of them around Sinchion . You check in and when you go to your room you find a condom display next to the sink. Sorry folks I did not get lucky on my trip...to be fair I didn't even try .

Anyway, what stands out is my conversation with my uncle on my last day in Korea and a kyopo I met.

I write more about my conversation with my uncle and the kyopo later.
