So, I saw a bus go by the other day and on the placard it had spam for a new (WB, I think) show, UGLY BETTY. Sitcom, me thinks.

Herein lies the rub: The face plastered next to the title was of a young Asian girl, teen by the looks of it. Glasses. Smiling. She's "cute nerdy" if you know what I mean. Kinda like Lisa Loeb with APA melanin flava.

Interestingly, the spam was in Spanish (?!).

Anyone got anything on this???

First, it's an ABC show. Second, I think you need your eyes checked because the character, Betty Suarez, is played by this woman:

chill monster. the buss was travelling - she looked Asian.

She was also in Real Women Have Curves as the main character. She's definitely not Asian. She does play a lot of roles where she defies the superthin Hollywood standard.
