I happen to be a big fan of psychologically compelling movies involving serial killers, such as "Se7en". I saw "Memories of Murder" last night which is based upon true events that happened in South Korea during the 1980s, where a serial killer (who was never caught, BTW) murdered 10 women in a rural area.

I highly recommend it.

I happened to see it on the world movies channel some months ago and wasn't expecting much.

Turned out to be a really good film.

I'd recommend it too.

A very good movie. A very angry one as well. The local police's incompetence is pretty rawly.

One thing I really liked about was that it didn't make serial murder seem like some kind of interesting puzzle or fascinating game, which is why I don't watch American serial killer movies. Anyway, there is also another movie about these murders which was made for TV, but that was maybe 10 years ago I think.

By the way, I heard it is suspected that this killer may be active again.

If/when I get Netflix back, this will be high on my list.
