Anyone heard of her? She focuses extensively on the Asian emmigrant experience in the west, as she herself moved to Australia from Hong Kong/Macau in in 1997. Check her out - she's got some serious art-house credentials, whatever that means. :P

Anyhoo - ZBJ's sad attempt at satire aside, I do enjoy her films because they focus on a theme that is central to most Asian communities worldwide - the diasporic experience. It rings true for me, at least. Dunno about putzes like Zhu, though. :)

Interesting...

I think I might have seen some of her films, but I wasn't aware of her as the director... but thanks for the heads up. I'm going to specifically check out some of her films.
