This is cheesecake my BF and I made for Thanksgiving a few years ago...
Actually I made the chocolate medallion and mixed the cream cheese for a bit, but he made most of the cheesecake.

It's your basic New Your Cheesecake with a raspberry/kirsch sauce and chocolate laces! Sorry, the pics are a bit fuzzy!

Here's me watching over the sauce...

Here's the finished product!

For the chocolate laces/medallions, you melt chocolate (in this case, I chose scharfenberger semi-sweetened baking chocolate because the cake was sweet enough so I didn't want the chocolate to be too sweet) with some butter until it's liquified over a double boiler (do not allow water to touch the chocolate), and then you basically scrape into a ziploc bag, seal the ziploc bag and snip one of the corners so you get the line thickness that you want (start small and increase as you need to), and draw designs onto parchment paper. Allow the designs to cool, flat on the parchment paper. Once the chocolate has solidified, peel them off the parchment paper carefully!

That seems like a lot of work for so little garnish; maybe I'm just succumbing to my lazy baking azz - I guess I prefer preparing the main course.
