Japanese Junkfood...YUMMY!!

I think I told you all about my LOVE of POCKY.." If not, then I am now.." But, I was wondering if any of you were into the whole non-USA junk food thing.." If so, can you list your Favorites? I would love to try more items..." But, here is what I found so far to my liking....."

GUM- BlackBlack( of course!) Lotte Coffee( I LOVE THE SOFTNESS AND FLAVOR!!), and Xylish( the 3- fruit one, lemon-cassis-muscat)


Pocky- (note, I have TOO many favorites..) Melon, Strawberry( the one with the real strawberry stuck to the stick...), etc......."

Then their is PRETZ.."- Potato, Maple and Butter( I LOVE THIS ONE)!!!:P

What about those EBI (shrimp I am learning Japanese little by little) rice cakes? I get those at the Family Mart. I buy like five things of that!! Those are SO good. My husband is a Mans Pocky eater!!!!!!!!! Because, of the Dark choc...."

those dried fish they sell at the viet groceries. can't get enough. its good to have in your car or bag if youre riding the bus like me in case you get hungry but dont have time to stop somewhere.

I have yet to try the tiny fish ..." But, they are in my soy sauce bag of diff crackers..." I have no clue how it taste.." But, I will one DAY try it.." The crackers are like round, and flat shaped. It is made by the Bourbon company.." It looks really interesting.." That is why I bought it.." I normally stick with the CANDY..."

Them's peanut brittle... Not great for your teeth but tasty as hell. Actually, I like the chinese ones from HK since they come in different nuts and hardness. The sesame seed coated ones gives that nice aroma.

Available at a chinatown near you. 8-)

I bought some Black Sesame Pocky from the 100 yen store a while ago.." It was SO good!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope they start to sell that stuff soon at the 7-11 or other stores!!!!!

Up here, Pocky's are everywhere! I believe they have a US subsidiary that makes them for North American distribution. I read that on the back of the box or something... 8-)

I just had this rice cracker stuff.." I seen it before, but...I had no CLUE what it was.." So, one of the girls at work wanted me to try it.." I have to find it now and send it home so my family can try it.." The only one I would NOT eat was the funny looking brown one.." She told me that it was a brown sugar one...YUCKO!!! I HATE brown sugar!!! :x

I found that I can not get enough of the Apple Qoo.." The orange Qoo has too much sugar!!! But, about those rice crackers.." I found some that have the seaweed wrapped around it.." Those are TOO good!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went on my after work FOOD hunt again, with a bit of YEN in my pockets..." I had a taste for some Shrimp rice cakes.." I bought TWO packs.." Then I went hunting for some of the potato pretz that I grown to like.." They replaced that with the shrimp one.." :shock:

My favorite is the Karl puffs. Those things are the best- especially the usuagi and the curry flavors. Yum yum! They've been around since the 60's... Karl is like the old-school, quintessential japanese snack.

Meh, they're most likely socialites who never eat junk food and strictly eat healthy. :D

I could eat Daifuku all day, though, and believe me, that's why I take care only to buy small amounts when I do get a chance to buy them.

Lessee... shrimp chips! Those french fry-lookin' chips that taste faintly like, y'know shrimps.

And cheese-o's, Nagaraya's adobo and garlic flavors, Lotte's Chocopies; these tasty dried... anchovies or sardine... some type of small fish. They're glazed in this sweet syrupy-looking stuff and sprinkled with seseame seeds, those godsent poundcake muffins that only come in packs of six, Hello Kitty mallowmars, these cocoa, mocha and white chocolate rice cakes, and g'ddamn those frozen mochi that has the ice creamy middle.
