Check this kid out. Ah, to be 150lbs. again and not have to worry about breaking every bone in your leg if you ever drop more than 3 feet from a fall.

There's a commercial with urban street hoppers like that. I think some cellular company. It was all white dudes so obviously it was slower...

Holy shiat! That was hella cool. I was shocked when I watched the first part with him running up the walls and doing the GAINER off the ledge!!! Then I saw him doing all of these crazy gymnastics and everything seemed to make more sense.

There is a French guy David Belle who heavily publicized roof jumping, calling it "Le Parkour" and starting a "world wide parkour federation". Being an Asshat, he has made statements claiming to be the "inventor" of the "sport". Just across the channel, the Brits call it free running and many disagree with David Belle's claim of ownership, noting in the documentary Jump London ìFree running has always existed, free running has always been there, the thing is that no one gave it a name, we didnít put it in a box.î David Belle was pretty pissed about Jump London, since in addition to that statement, it also made no mention of him at all, let alone his claims.

David Belle however is a very smooth and skillfull "traceur", as his federation calls it. And he has achieved a lot in developing interest and participation in it beyond the "What if I was Jackie Chan" daydreams people get after watching his movies.

CSI had an episode with street hopping as a sub-plot. You know the sport has hit an anti-climax when that happens. :P

sb1Did you see his backflip with 3, that's right 3 steps off the wall!!! A lot of guys can do 2 but 3 is only for the rare breed.

I dreamed of being able to do shit like that as a kid. Sigh. I was just not blessed with a body that's capable of repairing a whole lotta damage.

Watching films like this just make me marvel at the athletic capacity of the human body. BTW, the dude has spiky lopan hair!

That's amazing and I wouldn't even think about trying those moves. He should step in for Jet Li when he retires. He looks just like a friend of mine in HK.

This kid has serious "stuntman" potential. He really should look into it as a vocation/job.

Parkour is about to get some serious screen time. Sebastien Foucan (http://www.parkour.com/), one of the originals and also recognizible from Nike Chicken commercial, is going to be in the new James Bond movie.

Stuntman? Psh... He's a good lookin guy, send him to acting school.

Holy fuck, that kid is amazing!

You know, they ought to roof jumping an Olympic/X-games sport or revamp gymnastics to be something like that. The routines for gymnastics, especially men's events, while amazing in showing strength, are so archaic and boring. Wouldn't it be so cool if there was some kind of multi-level course and athletes get points for doing the most amazing and creative routines?

That was excellent! I saw some French film with an opening like that - a bunch of guys jumping off buildings and running up walls. Cannot for the life of me remember the name of the film but the cast was an interesting mix of black, white, and asian actors.

District B13! Very cool movie, though it needed even more building jumping.

I love watching that stuff, but to claim this shit as their own and forget all the "free running" that Jackie Chan did in his movies since the early 80s is fucking bullshit.
