Hey, I was born in Britain, raised in Canada and the folks are from Pakistan. I`ve known about this site for a while now, but just haven`t had the time to participate.

My claim to fame........I used to date imtina from asiams many moons ago. Yes, you read that correctly. We were both young, single and carefree back then. Anyway, I look forward to reading all these interesting posts and occasionally posting my own thoughts....when I can find the time.

It`s all totally true xian. I live in Edmonton now, but I`ve spent the better part of my life in Calgary which is imtina`s hometown. I`ve known her for about 12 years now. In fact, I ran into her and her husband just a few months ago when I was in Cowtown.

She dated me, so of course she was rational 8) . Seriously though, she never did anything to me. Her family is affluent and I always felt she was a bit spoiled back then, but she wasn`t the only girl afflicted with the princess syndrome. Oh and another thing, she fancies dark-skinned South Asian guys. She married a big white guy, but he is a lawyer though. I guess money wins out. Oh cynical me :wink:

Unlike some of the more, ahem, militant members here, I didn't think imtina was a horrible person (after all, she did finally admit that her statements were wrong) - just a bit naive and a bit ignorant (some of her theories as to why she preferred WM to AM were hilarious - i.e. - genetics).

So what are her father and brother like? She never really had a good explanation as to why her father/brother didn't fit within her description of AM (short and effeminate).

Her brother`s a cop and her dad is a buinessman with his fingers in many different pies. I attended her brother`s wedding this past summer. Her parents are Christian fundamentalists and I`ve heard they weren`t all that pleased that their little princess was dating a Muslim like me or that she married a Catholic.

For what it`s worth, when she dated me she told me that WM generally weren`t hairy and masculine enough for her. That`s why I had a good chuckle when I read a few of her comments on asiams. However, you are right about her not being the wicked witch of the east. She needs to choose her words more carefully though.

BTW, anyone read asiams lately?? There`s a Korean adoptee from the Netherlands lipping off about how Dutch guys are taller and better looking than "Oriental" guys and a chick from the Philippines with a chronic case of "jungle fever".
