Asian parents' fridges are the best. Even though not everything can be identified, yuo can always find something interesting, and it's always jam-packed full of food.

the only thing that i don't particularly like is when you can feel the cow's taste buds on your own tongue, it's like...whoa, i am french kissing a cow... :shock:

Well, at any rate, eating cow tongue and french-kissing it is better than being caught in a, ahem, passionate embrace with a live cow.

It's more like what don't they have at Sam's Club these days.It's probably to sell to the Jewish and/or people of Eastern European background. I find it odd that Kosher law dictates how even salt is prepared and it forbids the eating of shellfish but you can boil up a nasty cow tongue.

Aaaanyways, maybe the cow tongue can be used the same way ox tongue is used in lengua. That stuff is so good, especially when smothered in a creamy mushroom sauce. Follow it up with a swig of ice cold San Mig, and oh man....heaven.

But yeah, lengua kinda reminds me of a cross between sauteed gizzard and foie gras.
