There was a thread a couple days ago discussing (surprise!) some aspect of CCBs, and there was a disturbing extremism in the remarks.

Some crazy angry Asian male was ranting against CCBs (which is fine in itself, as CCBism is racist hater behavior, as long as it doesn't become a blanket hatred of IRs or AFs), when someone came in and said something like "shame on you, stop ranting against them, CCBs are victims, they deserve our support, compassion, etc."

This is NOT true in the sense that CCBs are NOT "pure" victims. They commit "crimes" in the sense that they practice racist exclusionary behavior, and saying that they are a victim of developmental forces DOES NOT absolve them of their wrongdoings. If you apply this argument to CCBs, then it's no stretch to apply it to child molesters, too: extensive studies have demonstrated that pretty much all child molesters were at some point abused in their youth as well. But they're not just victims, because they now have the power to victimize others.

To blanket hate CCBs is wrong because it doesn't recognize developmental forces, nor does it particularly improve anyone's wellbeing; to absolve CCBs of any personal responsibility for their situation is JUST AS WRONG.

There has been some serious fucking loss of perspective by some of you assholes on this board (including GIRLS AND GUYS). A few points ot remember before any of you post again:

1) F44s is NOT representative of any general AM/AF/Asian/Asian-American population

2) When speaking of oppressing and victimizing in a social context, NO ONE is a pure victim or a pure oppressor. Situations are CO-ENACTED between the individual and the culture/system/environment. Get that through your goddamn heads.

3) Many of you are using this forum as a DUMPING GROUND, not a touchpoint, for your emotional baggage and fixations and biases. Again, this includes GIRLS AND GUYS. STOP. You're being ASSHOLES. I don't want to be annoyed every time I log on by someone's narcisissm and narrow-minded view (and yes, narrow-mindedness applies to worldcentric "non-racists" as well). STOP.
