Two Asian Candidates in Rosemead

There are two Asian people running for City Council in Rosemead in the upcoming March elections. They are John Tran and Polly Low. They're both moderate Democrats, and seeking election to seats that have been held by two conservatives and one moderate. They would be the first Asians on the Council, if elected.

The controversial issue in the city is Wal-Mart, which is trying to build in Rosemead, and facing opposition from the people, while the Council's sided with Wal-Mart consistently.
