I'm just so sick of this stuff. The politics of ethnicity, identity, all that stuff.
But when I run away from it, something from the real world always manages to hit me smack dab in the face to remind me, once again, that it's always gonna be there, and you're gonna have to deal with it.
Is that all there is? Just a series of episodes of introspection, examination, elucidation, action... then getting sick of it, running away and avoiding it, and then coming back?
What the fuck are we, 44? A bunch of ethnic jack in the boxes?
(If this sounds like a lonely cry for help... it probably is!)

I play my brand new copy of the Lord of the Rings RPG on my buddy's (modded) PS2 and beat the crap out of assorted Orcs, Wargs, and barbarous White people with my big Dwarven Hammer.
Oh and I drink with people of all colors and we bond in mutual acknowledgement of each other's drunken stupidity.

I just think about all the people I love (a select few) and all the people who love me in return and everythings just about right, once again.

If I have access to pussy I fuck it raw, with no pity. The girl usually has no fucking clue why I'm fucking her so viciously, but girls love hard, pounding sex anyway. But it's not like I have a girl to fuck every single day ( I wish I was a hardcore playa like that), so when I don't, I do what rocket does and get introspective - it helps to remember who your real friends are. For AMs, it's an even more select and precious group, because in many senses many AFs are PART of the problem, whether they want to admit it or not.

Yes yes, in a thread which is about bringing shit away from issues, Kalbi brings it back to hatin' on the AFs! Squirrel that shit!

oops. Hey this is a forum about our 'issues'. There's no escaping it, at least on this forum. Think about it - I don't think I've commited a grave crime or anything by doing that. What can I say?

If you want to let race politics run (and possibly ruin) your life, then it'll happen.
I don't think about this 44 shit most of the time. And perhaps you all will say that as an Asian woman, I have the luxury of not having to obsess over it. But really, that's a crock of shit. We have the power and responsibility to ourselves as PEOPLE to be the best we can without getting obsessed and upset about things.
Life is hard and sometimes it's downright shitty, but there are always gonna be people who have it way worse than you.
There really is so much beauty in life, so much to learn and experience and think about, I'd rather not waste my time drowning in an ethnic cesspool.

That's funny, my mom calls one of my brothers an Orc when he eats food directly out of the pot with his hands. Maybe my mom knows more about middle earth than I thought she did.

I sing, make up a new mixtape, or just work on a dance routine.
I don't drink anymore, because I've learned that when alcohol and I mix...let's just say that thank Jeebus there weren't any cameras around then.

I let down my protective shield and ussually asks someone for a hug. It took me years to find out how much a good hug can do to lift your spirits. I still find it absolutely amazing.

And speaking of Lord of the Rings, me, ZG, and Sheki recently watched the ROTK extended edition (and boy do our asses hurt!), and we're trying to resolve a very grave and emotional issue.
When the four hobbits get back to Hobbiton and they're in that pub clinking their mugs, this dude in the background brings in a giant pumpkin, and starts rubbing it and cleaning it and talking to his buddies. To me, this dude is CLEARLY Andy Serkis a.k.a. Smeagol/ Gollum getting to play a happy and normal supporting hobbit, but ZG adamantly refuses to believe this and thinks it's a completely different nameless actor, and Sheki is sitting on the fence.
Any conclusive evidence would be appreciated.
