India isn't considered a first world country just yet.
Notice that all the countries listed are the wealthiest of the first world nations? India is still trying to solidify basic infrastructure. You don't see the internet outside of urban areas in India, while John Q of Sweden, Japan or the US can have access to the internet, even in the boonies.

India is an interesting point, though. Glad you've brought it up.
India has been getting fire for tech outsourcing by US companies, so you bring up a very valid candidate.
The dichotomy of modernity/tradition is very interesting, and I'd love to see how it plays out in the future.

Yeah it's just that i hear computers is the most popular subject among indians, the majority indians i've seen around on campus are doing some computer engineering course.
