Ello there all!!!! :D

Been lurking around since June. Found this site through AAM. Was tempted to post so many times before, but what I wanted to say was posted by others anyways (in a more refined fashion at that). So still I lurked and read. Laughed sometimes, raised my brow often, and had my blood boil quite frequently.

I also passed gas a lot, but that's another story. Muy stinky.

JK. Hehehe....

Anyways, I really like the whole concept and flow of this site/forum. Chockfull of information and ideas, therapeutic as well. Unbiased opinions (for the most part) and thought-out posts. And the features are just wonderfully scathing yet witty. I do wish they were more frequent though.

You guys have done the online Asian community a huge favor. Keep up the great work guys, you've got something good going here.

Whassup Speaker, welcome to the 44s, thank you very much for the props, and we're glad you're finally posting!

I am very glad that you like our Features, and I know they don't come nearly quickly or regularly enough; while ideally we'd like both quantity and quality, given time constraints, we're forced to choose one or the other and of course we do our best to maintain the latter.

Great Kierkegaard signature, too!

If you haven't already, please check out our Declarations of Intent (http://www.thefighting44s.com/discussion/viewforum.php?f=1) to learn about our vision and stance (http://www.thefighting44s.com/discussion/viewtopic.php?t=536). Little Red Book (http://www.thefighting44s.com/discussion/viewforum.php?f=29)offers guidance for the type of posting we want to see here, and Integral Slanted (http://www.thefighting44s.com/discussion/viewforum.php?f=39) discusses the more complex aspects of Integral Theory and Practice, the principles of which we use to develop this site, and on which I conduct my life.

Finally, you now have access to Sleeper Cells (http://www.thefighting44s.com/discussion/viewforum.php?f=14), NC-17 (http://www.thefighting44s.com/discussion/viewforum.php?f=9), and Fight Club (http://www.thefighting44s.com/discussion/viewforum.php?f=28). The first lets you know if any 44s are getting together in your area; the latter two forums contain the most controversial and least reasonable discussions, so read them for fun but don't take them too seriously or think that they represent The Fighting 44s in any way, other than we like to kick up shit.

Thanks for joining, and have some fun!

Welcome... saw your handle several times below. What does it mean?

Heya Tojo. Got my handle from Speaker For The Dead, a book by Orson Scott Card (second in the Enders Game series). He's a great Sci-Fi author who wrote Enders Game, considered a classic by many.

Anyways, a Speaker for the Dead basically gives a very poignant eulogy that delivers a satisfying closure to a life. They have the gift to manipulate words so that the truth hits hard, yet there is an uplifting sense of relief afterwards. It'd be better to read the book to get a good picture of what it exactly is, for I just suck at describing stuff like that.

So much for living up to my handle eh?

And oh yeah, thanks for the welcome Dialectic!!!! :D
