I have just spent the evening watching most of the RNC live from New York, and I am completely disgusted and angered by the lies, rhetoric, and emotional and linguistic manipulation I saw there.

Arnold's speech was the absolute worst. Much like his California campaign, he said nothing about any sort of platform, but spouted gibberish and ra-ra nonsense with unrivalled charisma.

Absolutely fucking disgusting.

I haven't gotten to see it. (baseball is on most of the tvs  )
But I was listening to the radio this morning, can't remember what station, but they were interviewing delgates there and one was asked how they felt about Farenheit 911 and the person interviewed went on to say how they shouldn't be able to speak up against the president's policies and how they should be supportive of whatever move the president makes and how Michael Moore should be put in jail for treason. Its like the person thinks we can't speak up against the government, yet the person can criticize the previous adminstration. Ugh, the person also went on to say how the last ten years have been worse and how Bush has brought back the old morals.

^ I'll like some evidence on that.

And since I haven't been on the forums for a while. I caught the RNC too. I thought Zell Miller's speech was damn fantastic. He was aggressive and on to the point with some humor. I don't like the way he mentioned Christian America, but it's all good.

Zell Miller? He's a bit of a loon. An entertaining one, but still a loon nevertheless. I heard his speech and I thought ti was the most entertaining sppech I've hard come from the RNC.

I couldn't watch the RNC for the most part. After about 5 minutes, my crap-o-meter was fried, and I had to turn off the TV.

I did manage to watch most of the McCain speech. Man, I swear that guy was blackmailed or something.

Kerry characterized Bush's speech as 'all hat and no cowboy'.
I thought that was fairly accurate ;)
