Now, on to hard facts: about a quarter of Black US males are incarcerated or on parole. Urban renewal has gutted and destroyed Black economic life; Black incarceration rates are arguably the intended result of White racist policies. It certainly was inevitable. These numbers follow the general trend in any White-dominated society with a Black population. Check out the statistics for Australian Aborigines for another correalation.

White financing (Blacks are traditionally denied credit) has turned formerly Black communities into either all-white areas or at the very least, Black neighborhoods with substantial “White Islands” where Whites segregate themselves to partronize White establishments. In other words, White colonies in Black neighborhoods.

All of this occurs with the real benefits to Whites of increased property values, equity in property, and the flow of bank capital. Once again, Blacks are completely shut out of this process.
Some would even argue Whites intended to exterminate all trace of Black economic action.

The present-day reality of what White America, not Asian-America, not Latino-America, does to Blacks should put to rest any notions about a “post-white USA”. Also not addressed is US foreign policy, which terrorizes Non-White nations (invading Iraq, Contras in Nicarauga, selling death through the international weapons market, etc.) on a stupendous scale. A glance at any major media shows that Non-White Americans do not direct US domestic and foreign policy.

Anecdotes of American Whiteness discussed in terms of “Culture” is an ultimately insubstantial and superficial way of analyzing the role of power in racism. Hopefully future discussions will deal with the real-world power issues involved with racism, sexism, etc.
