What the media don't mention is a ton of these women are in abusive situations. Those golden dreams of improving their lives by marrying foreigners don't always turn out good. Many of these women ended up in horrific situations. I believe Filipino government outlawed those foreigner marriage services due to amount of abuse these women get once they are married. However, those services merely went underground. They are certainly thriving in the USA.
