The title is a riff off a Jewish stereotype, (”My son, the Doctor,” the proudly beaming Jewish parent says, one that is frequently found in popular media and is sometimes used as a joke. No alarms needed here.

The title of the article is My Son, the Blogger: An M.D. Trades Medicine for Apple Rumors. I thought this was a bit of a strange title, considering the article only mentions the Kim’s father once. It seemed to imply some sort of hackneyed filial duties that Asian men have towards their parents, and it reminded me a bit of those old corny lines from the Karate Kid–”Miyagi, you have dis-honored me!”
