		<description>It's mostly a function of population.  I believe that Asian immigrant (and possibly all immigrant0 behavior radically changes once the population density reaches a certain point.

Basically, when there are few Asians around, you'll all know each other but you won't cluster for fear of looking alien and unappreciative, and indeed you might go out of your way to avoid associating very much (especially 2nd gen); when there are a bunch of Asians around, however, you'll cluster like bees in a honey pot.</description>

By the way, and this has been brought up before, one difference between Asian Americans and other ethnicities is that we are less likely to cluster geographically probably because of economics.  This makes it somewhat harder for us to build up an "identity."  Most people eventually move away from Chinatown.

But I know very few Bush supporters too...</description>
