Just saw this article in the New York Times about the Design Director of the New York Times website. His name is Khoi Vinh, and he is a refugee from Vietnam. As some of you have probably guessed, the NY Times site is one of my favorite news sites on the web. You can e-mail questions for Khoi Vinh at askthetimes@nytimes.com until April 25th; he’ll be answering questions in the Ask The Times column.

It looks like there are quite a few prominent Asian Americans in design. I remember reading about Google’s Dennis Hwang who designs the Google front page logos. Interesting stuff.

Khoi Vinh is an EXTREMELY well-respected designer, famous for his incredible versatility with grid-layout design. His blog is one i frequent often.
