A few of you may have seen a fun Korean flick from 2001 called “Volcano High,” about highschool politics mixed with superpowers. It’s a hilarious and entertaining movie on its own, but it’s brought TO THE NEXT LEVEL in MTV’s gangsta dub version, starring Andre 3000, Snoop, L’il Jon, Method Man, Mya, Big Boi, Tracy Morgan, Kelis, and the late great Pat Morita. All ten parts are on Youtube, but I HIGHLY recommend buying the DVD.

I remember seeing this a couple of years ago. Sure, the dubbing was bad, but I’ll take bad dubbing over replacing every character with some white mother fucker anyday.

Buy the dub one man. Support western companies using Asians as main characters.

plus I saw the american dvd at the store, it pissed me off, why is the original on an inferior format dvd-5, with only two channel audio. At least the HK/korean one offered it in dvd-9 and 5 channel sound. I am not paying to watch an original in worse format than the dub

Hi newbie. I got the dvd, it came with both versions (original and dubbed). For me it was interesting to see exactly how the mtv version would play out. I would have watched it anyway but in all honesty, I thought it was okay dubbed. That shocked me because I like listening to most foreign films in the original language reading the english subtitles.
