Google Ads Spotlight: Asian Personals Match

As most of us here at 44s know, Google’s adsense isn’t always very accurate, and the ads that show up can be funny, bizarre, or downright insulting. Probably the most common type of ad we see is for Asian dating and mail order brides like the one below:
Normally I ignore these ads, but every so often I click on one just to see if I’ll be surprised. This time, though, I was quite surprised to see an Asian man on the front page of the site.
Now that’s something you don’t always see, even for supposedly “Asian” dating sites. Intrigued, I decided to check it out. Now, the site won’t let you do anything at all unless you have a profile of your own, so I put up an ad. I tried to be honest and entertaining, but I really just wanted to see the rest of the site.
With all of that done, it was time to go check out all the fine Asian honeys that live in my area. I put in the search terms, and I was a bit surprised at what I found.
What the hell? What’s going on here?
I’m looking through the lists of people, even the guys, and there are no Asians on the site at all. I look for myself, and my profile isn’t even showing up. What gives? Confused, but ultimately uncaring, I leave and promptly forget about it.
The next day, I have about 20 e-mails from Asian Personals Match informing me of women who want to get to know me. For example, needsumfun69 writes:
Now I’m just curious as to what kind of site this is. Either someone fucked up or someone is trying to trick me. After some searching, I come across the real site:
A-HA! I’ve been hoodwinked! There are no Asians here, only horny white people looking for sex! Fuck that shit!
So next time you’re thinking about clicking on one of those Asian dating ads, beware; it could very well be an attempt to draw your Asian innocence into the deviant ways of white debauchery. If you’re looking for love, stick to church meetings and Asian Friendfinder.

4:35 pm | Oct 31, 2007UPDATE: I think I may have hit the jackpot with this girl. It turns out that she’s in Nigeria, and she’s the widow of some general who was embezzling money. She can’t move the funds directly into her account without attracting suspicion, but she says that I can get a nice cut of that money by helping her out.
When she has the money, we’ll be able to meet up. I’m so excited!
