    There still are slaves in this world. The only difference is that they do it out of poverty caused by the system.

    The result is the same - poor people doing menial labour for next-to-nothing to support a ruling class.

    actually i think there are more slaves in the world today than ever before. and i mean slavery like forced labor with no pay.
