The Fighting 44s

A former forum member of our site was kind enough to post some thoughts on the latest IR-debate at, appropriately, the Reappropriate blog site here.

The funny thing about having “atlasien” here, as she was known on our forum, was that I barely agreed with anything she ever said in terms of content or tone. But I was glad to have her here as an insightful, alternate voice, a sentiment I suppose she didn’t share.

I also want to note that we had an open call to all the more eloquent and insightful members that they could post whatever they wanted on our frontpage. Whatever they said didn’t have to agree with my opinion at all, and I wouldn’t want it to. I wanted a variety of stances all over the site, from which members and readers could pick and choose.

Alas, it seems that was not meant to be. That is the price we pay, I suppose, for being woman-bashers and body-controllers and sexual-oppressors. It’s time I went to oppress me some fine white booty for the cause.
