Ever wonder what 15 lbs of strawberries looks like?
15 lbs of berries

So what does one do with 15 lbs of berries? Well, you give 2 quarts away to friends.

Then you make jam. Quarts and quarts of it.mashed berries
jarred jam

Then you add some raspberries and make a mix of the two.
raspberry strawberry jam
yep, it's jam

Then you make ice cream.
yep, that's ice cream

Then you make marshmallows.
pyramid of mallows
looks like fuzzy tofu

Then, because you’re a sick fuck, you want to go berry picking all over again.

Damn girl, you’ve been bizzy! You picked all that fruit and made all that great stuff? Cans of jam=xmas and birthday presents, you’re all set! I’ve been kind of afraid to approach canning; fear of boiling water burns and botulism. How was the whole canning process?

From one science lady to another - you can do it. If you can follow a protocol you can can things. All you need is the proper equipment and a fleeting knowledge of asceptic technique :)

I bow down to your cooking skills. Mmm, I don’t even like strawberry ice cream or marshmallows, but it all looks so good.

Heh, I don’t even know what “asceptic technique” is, much less have a fleeting knowledge of it.
