Jesus, I really don't agree with with Bananaboy's statement, but Ramachan, really, you went to Harvard? What the hell is up with your grammar?? I'd hate to even insinuate how naturally your writing skills may demonstrate those lowliest of Affirmative Action pejorative stereotypes!

Sigh, where do I begin to start with what is wrong with your statement…

It is passive aggressive “but I’m not racist” racism that is SO infuriating …

Aside for a magazine or newspaper article show me some IMPIRCAL proof of these reduced standards, esp. at Harvard…

See my friend I WENT TO HAVARD and despite be BOTH African American and Chinese I GOT NO special test, no special treatment…

And simply I tire of this crap that is spewed fourth by underachievers looking for excuses for their own failures…

Perhaps STATE funded schools have such programs but as far as Harvard is concerned I would of LIKED that extra help but it was not there and listening to whiners like you just reminds me of how comments like this belittle MY accomplishments.

Sheesh… so just how IS that model minority thing working out for you?

In other words, African immigrants are among the most privileged when it comes to higher education admissions and opportunities (lower bar of test scores and grades, higher acceptance rates, more scholarship money, more special program entitlements). Asians, of course, are the least privileged (highest bar of admissions standards with the lowest acceptance rates). Asians are bearing the brunt of white guilt in today's Affirmative Action environment and must work harder to reach the higher bar of admissions standards. It has come to the point where a young enterprising asian person should ask him/herself, "is all this hard work towards college worth it anymore?"

For the most part, you graduate from college in order to get a job to become someone's wage slave and monkey. The harder the worker you are, the better you'll be someone's monkey (this is why asians hit the corporate glass ceiling). Your standard of living does not improve if you're working 60+ hours a week to one day 40 years from now be finally able to pay off the mortgage on your house and send your kids to college so that they can continue the cycle. Your parents have already done that.

Here's a better idea: Instead of going to college, use that saved capital (and get your newly-rich relatives in Asia to invest in you) and hire these newly-minted African grads to work and create wealth for you in Africa. That continent has been a shithole despite its wealth in natural resources. Instead of working for it, make things work for you.
