		<description>Yes, women have definitely been discriminated against throughout history. 

however, the chinese head-tax redress situation is unique in that a substantial amount of money was collected from overseas Chinese as a result of discrimination. Had women been forced to pay close to 2 years of salary for, say, the right to vote, then I would agree that they be compensated similarly.</description>
