AA studies should be present in any school with African American, or Latino studies classes... probably MORE needed in schools without any such coursework. It gives a good and easy-to-understand explanation of why cultural clubs should exist. They're not "divisive" at all: they acknowledge divisions which are already there and permit exploration of identity outside the majority context, so that hopefully, people will be able to unite in greater and more understanding wholes.
