Can you describe a little bit of your philosophy and approach to living?
To sum it up, my philosophy these days is to ‘make them come to you.’ I’m not sure if that’s the answer you’re looking for, but that philosophy is what my life revolves around at this point in time.
You mention in an interview on evilmonito.com that you’ve seen so much of how cash rules the world that it’s making you cold. How is this affecting your art and the way you interact with people?
Good question … like I mentioned before, in the music biz it takes a lot of effort to earn a decent income. Money is only an issue because without it, I don’t have the means to push my efforts along more aggressively. It affects my art in that I find myself trying to appeal to a broader range of listeners instead of a small group of people. In terms of the way I interact with people … with all the great hustlers, the mentality is that time is money. I’m much more picky now with who and how I spend my time. I refuse to waste time on things and people that aren’t beneficial to my goals. However, the fans come first, especially if the copped a CD … I’ll do whatever to make ‘em happy.
How bad have you felt stage fright?
I always have stage fright before I hit the stage. Once I grab the mic tho, and I’m up there, I’m the most confident person in the world. I believe that that’s the entertainer in me.
What do you fear most in life?
Dang, these are some deep questions … you tryin’ to look into my soul huh? I’d have to say failure.
Who and what do you care about most?
It may sound kinda selfish, but I care about my career the most. That’s what I spend the majority of my days concerned with. My family, certain friends and relationships are right up there too. I feel like the more successful I am with my career the better my all around relationships will be.
