[On April 22 2009, after five exciting and enlightening years, we retired this site. Aside from the occasional frontpage update, it is now an archive of what we were, what Asian America was, at the beginning of the 21st century.]
ONE CONSCIENCE
If there is one thing you should know about the Fighting 44s, it is this:
We give a damn.
We don’t particularly care what you believe or what you say, as long as you do care.
We love Asian America. We love North America. We love Asia, and we care about what happens everywhere in this small world we hold in our hands.
Confidence. Compassion. Conscience.
This is what we stand for. This is what we want to see in you. If you have it, then you’re already one of us, whether you know it or not.

MISSION
To explore and develop Asian American identity and expression.
UNITY IN DIVERSITY
You’ll find many voices here in our Features and Forums, people from all walks of life who have very different political and philosophical opinions. Our writers don’t always agree with each other, and we don’t want them to.
The only requirement for joining our community is that you care about the way the world is and want to make it better. The point is not to march in step, the point is to show your heart, to educate, elevate, and ultimately enlighten.
Please note that none of our members or staff speak for The Fighting 44s. Their views and opinions do not necessarily represent those of the founders and owners of this site. The only people who speak for the Fighting 44s as an organization and online entity are Lopan and Dialectic the Stealth M.C.
